It looks like WORDPRESS have finally fixed the iPhone app after a huge wait.
WordPress is great for blogging, and the iPhone app was just the icing on the cake… until it died.
It used to be great… then it stopped adding photo’s… then it died totally. It would crash faster than a blind drunk race car driver with no sense of direction.
This meant the best way to blog to WordPress was to use the email option – which works fine, but it didn’t make life easy when approving comments or editing blogs already posted.
But now, it’s back in action… and I’m testing it to make sure I trust it for SERIES TEAM to take on their charity “Help For Heroes” rally.
Already I see that this latest version (2.7) is far improved! It hasn’t crashed, and when typing in a web address it automatically asks to create a link – nice touch!
Well, as long as there is a photo attached to this latest blog entry, then I’d say WordPress (2.7) for iPhone is good to go.
Sometimespace is now available via:
For the tech people out there, “sometimespace.co.uk/.com” is a web domain forwarding address to this blog, whose actual address is https://moretimespace.wordpress.com – but for simplicity I kept my old blog name of sometimespace and made the domain (purchased from 1and1 Internet) name link to whichever blog site I happen to be using (in this case, WordPress.com).
With that said, I am off to bed as my prescribed sleeping tablets are kicking in quite quickly now. They were prescribe because my back injury stopped me from getting much uninterrupted sleep over the past two and a bit months, and even though the back is getting better, my sleep pattern is as erratic as a blind drunken quadriplegic trying to negotiate spaghetti junction in a car with a wheel missing…. So pretty bad….
I’ve been able to count every hour in and out through the night. It’s not that I am not tired – believe me, I have never felt so damned tired – it’s just the back pain kept waking me, and now I just can’t get back into a sleep pattern at all. I’ve done shift work before and a change of sleep pattern normally only takes a weekend – but this is different. Dead on my feet….crawling up to bed… drag myself under the sheets…. and then just not sleep – but going beyond normal tired. Not nice at all.
So, without further ado, I wish you all a pleasant night as I take my Temazepam induced wobbliness up to bed, to sleep….perchance to dream! Aye, there’s the rub….. ooof – these tablets are a bit more than sleep makers I think…
Alex attended his first fireworks display tonight. It was held at the National Shooting Centre at Bisley (NRA).
Chris drove us to the event – I was doped up with pain killers, even though it was only a short journey. A 30 minute trip out the other day as passenger was enough for me to think twice about getting in a car at present.
It was only £4 per adult – and Alex was free. The show was set to music and went on for close to half hour. What a display! I have never seen one like it. It was so well timed with the music and the fireworks were impressive to say the least…. not that I watched much of them, as I was close to tears at how much Alex was enjoying himself!!!! I have never seen him so excited – not even half as excited!!!
Before the show we bought him an LED windmill thing – Lot’s of these LED type toys were for sale, so there were no sparklers (all very safe). Alex loves his windmill and as soon as we gave it to him, it stayed with him until he went to bed!!!
During the show itself I wasn’t sure if he was louder than the fireworks or not! He was grinning and laughing like a maniac!!!
Unfortunately I wasn’t that stable with the camera as my head was a bit fuzzy from the pills, but if you click on one of the pictures you’ll be taken to the album where you can see some of the fireworks and some of Alex’s expressions!
iPhone with Flickr and WordPress blogging – a great combination!
