In Memory

My father used to like the odd bet or two in his later life, but I’m not really into it…..although come the Grand National I do like to place a bet in his memory….and just hope that I get as lucky as he used to get. I don’t ever recall him coming out down on cash at the end of the races. Mind you, his analytical scientific mind might have had a lot to do with it.

With not a great deal else to do in his last years, he would check out forms and look pretty deeply into the stats.

The race would end….I’d get a phone call. He’d have a chuckle and tell me how much he’d just won.

Here’s to my dad then, may you look down and give my choices a little helping hand… Posted by Picasa
